How to Make the Most out of Your Trip to the Hairdresser

This post is brought to you by the letter B. For Budget. And frequent trips to the golden scissor snapping hairdressing guru in your city ain't good for the B. Word. Up. So how do you make the most out of your visit to the average priced hairdresser and STILL adore the outcome?

Choose your cutter wisely - shop around until you find a hairdresser that you: a) click with b) listens to your hair worries and fears and then completely blasts them out of the solar system. Warning, you may want to hug and kiss them, please DO NOT do this, when you have found a mega super cutting wizard you must not frighten them away with freaky stalkerish behaviour.

Know your hair - because I know my hair is stupidly thick (not the hair shaft itself, there is just a lot of it), and there is an even more stupid wave that gives me severe bucket head, I explain my predicament to the hairdresser who thins it out and puts X-treme layers in it. Not all hairdressers get this. And I have found an average costing local hairdresser than does. Happy Days.

And sometimes I would just really love a dead straight posh bob, or Pob. Ok, not anymore. We have all moved on from the Pob. But I understand that my thick and wavy hair will just not do that. Nor would it suit me (sticky outie ears). A hairdresser cannot perform miracles that radically change your hair type. Know this. Accept what you have and WERK what you've got. Yo.

Just this morning I woke up feeling Ginnifer Goodwin. She slapped me before I had the chance to explain that I was Just Not That Into Her. It's her fab hair-do I was macking on. This one.

Hello new hair cut (that is sort of similar to Ginnifer Goodwin but a bit longer and not quite so sleek). My hair is too thick to attempt a cut as short as Ginnifer's. And I don't have a cute round face. See, WERK with what you've got.
Note to hair: now you know how you are supposed to behave, and I expect you to stay like this, even after washing. Do not pass GO, and do not collected 200 Dollars.

Thank you Melissa at Sanctuary Hair in Castle Towers. You do good hair and you're never allowed to leave.

Do you have a fave well priced local hairdresser? Share the love. Garn.

Noiiccee!
I'm so glad I've found a hair dresser that meets all your requirements (amazingly, mine too). Only person that's ever gotten me to say good bye to the mermaid hair and now I want it shorter. I could marry her! Plus, $35 for a style cut and she's down the road. Too good.
