Breaking News: Flannelette Is Comfy and La Mav Makes Excellent Hydrating Mask

Latest discoveries from Planet Sugar:

1. flannelette pyjama bottoms are seriously comfy
2. Dawson not convincing as Doctor on TV show Mercy. Buffy's sister also there, watching, and wearing floral dresses.
3. the Organic Hydrating Mask by La Mav is the shizzo
4. and Dorito's are a yummy snack food

Coincidentally I just so happen to be currently, as in right now, performing 3 out of the 4 above activities. Okay, I wasn't paying attention to Mercy until they held up an xray of a patients intestine, with a bowling pin wedged comfortably inside it. You guys, funny. Don't worry Buffy's sister popped it right out so we can talk about La Mav instead.

And I am slightly obsessed with the La Mav at the moment. After experiencing a La Mav facial, I have been slowly working my way through the product range. Right now, I am smitten with the Hydrating Mask.

Smooth it on thinly after cleansing, wait a few minutes then slough off gently for a hydrating/exfoliating, hydroliating experience.

There are so many ingredients in this mask. I am not going to list them all because you can find them on the La Mav website. The key active ingredients consist of marine extracts such as: Galactaric Acid; Phytic Acid; Oligopeptides; Biopeptides; DNA phyto-guardian; Pea Extract & Argan Fruit Extract. And speciality oils such as: Certified Organic - Bilberry Seed Oil; Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil & Lingonberry Seed Oil. And a whole host of other base ingredients.

I have used this mask several times now. It is particularly useful because I have been using skincare containing high doses of Vitamin C (Vit C is very drying on the skin - on my already dry skin - itchy!). So this mask is the perfect pick me up, leaving my skin feeling smooth, clean and moisturised. It's also feeling calm - which I don't often associate with exfoliating masks.

I have been using it twice and week and have been applying a facial oil afterwards to Lock It In Larry.

Here's a bonus. Did you know, La Mav is the first Australian-made anti-aging skincare range to become certified by the Organic Food Chain (Australia's leading certification organisation). Well done chaps. We like that. Watch this space for more La Mav reviews and interviews.

You can purchase La Mav from their website and the Hydrating Mask is $59 AUD.

Now, must get back to trashy TV.

Do you have a favourite mask? I liked that sequinned one you wore to the Masquerade Ball.
